3 ways to activate your resolutions, affirmations, and goals

Goal setting, positive affirmations, and resolution writing is a very common practice. It can be a very effective exercise and it can also be a frustrating one.

How many times have you fallen short of a goal or resolution, and instead of taking pride in all that you did accomplish in that set time period, you are disappointed with yourself because you didn’t reach the desired result in your pre-determined time frame and therefore can’t mark that satisfying check ✅beside it?

Been there, [un]check that.

So how can we focus our energy to activate these desires to create momentum and ultimately manifestation? There are 3 keys to unlocking the power so this process can work for you:

HAVE FUN.

Do you feel tension when you’re writing / reciting your goals or affirmations? Is it activating within you a vibrational discord because as you begin to write or say what you want, you really end up focusing on that lack of it not yet manifested? If the process isn’t fun for you, then stop immediately. This exercise should always be playful and easy.

BE LESS SPECIFIC.

This means eliminating the ‘how’ and ‘when’ from the equation because two things happen: you put a deadline on your goal and stress when the clock is ticking – days pass by and you are not where you thought you would be. Or you take yourself out of the excitement of the desire with the dreaded question of ‘how the heck am I supposed to make this happen?’, and the analytical brain kicks in and you start to question the probability.

Here is an example:

Feel the ease of that? Less pressure, same desire.

FEEL THE EMOTION OF IT.

Nothing wanted manifests without a thought matched with a feeling. It’s one thing to write down things we want to do, be or have, but if we are not connecting our brain with our heart, those are just words on a piece of paper. As you write or recite your desires, feel the emotion of being in that desired place – and relax into it. Think of the details as best as you can imagine them and sit with them for a while. Alignment of thought and feeling is where co-creation magic happens!

Remember, not every process works for every person. Goal setting / resolution writing / affirming is less about keeping score – it is about playing with the excitement and possibility.
